Welcome to 2026: A New Chapter for Smart City Mall Africa
Welcome to 2026! Happy New Year!
We made it. We have officially crossed over into the future. It is a new dawn, a fresh page, and dare we say, a brand-new vibe.
If you are reading this, thank you. You survived the hustle of 2025, the “Detty December” traffic, and you are here standing strong. Welcome to 2026.
Before we dive back into our “Tech Queens” series or start talking about the latest sensors and gadgets, we need to hit the pause button. We need to have a family meeting.
Today is not about selling you a product. It is about sharing our heart.
To Our Clients: We Own It, We Apologize, and We Fixed It
Let’s keep it real. 2025 was a year of massive growth, but it also came with its own share of “shege” (struggles).
To some of our esteemed clients, we owe you a profound and sincere apology. We know there were moments of deep frustration regarding equipment supplies. We know that waiting for a delivery that is stuck in “processing” is enough to raise anyone’s blood pressure.
But we need to be transparent about what really happened. It wasn’t just about logistics or traffic.
We faced a serious situation where vendors—partners with a certain manufacturer here in Nigeria—betrayed our trust. They supplied us with lithium-ion batteries that were not only fake but were shockingly below the rated capacity we paid for on your behalf.
That is not just a technical error; it is a breach of integrity. It hurts us deeply because our reputation is built on delivering quality, and in those instances, the supply chain failed you.
We are deeply sorry. We know the stress this caused, and we take full responsibility.
However, an apology without action is just noise. So, here is what we have done to ensure that Welcome to 2026 means welcome to absolute reliability:
We Cleaned House: We conducted a ruthless, forensic audit of our entire supply chain.
Goodbye to the Dubious: We have immediately and permanently severed ties with those dubious vendors and manufacturers who sold us counterfeit goods. There is no room for compromise here.
Hello to the Trusted: We have onboarded new, verified, and strictly vetted trustworthy partners who understand that integrity is the only currency that matters.
We have learned the hard lessons so you don’t have to face the consequences. This year, we are moving with precision and transparency.
To Our Investors and Partners: You Are the MVPs
To the people who put their money, faith, and reputation on the line for Smart City Mall Africa—thank you.
Building a tech ecosystem in Africa is not for the faint-hearted. It requires vision to see a “Smart City” where others just see a construction site. Thank you for believing in the dream, even when the road got bumpy. Your support in 2025 was the fuel in our engine.
As we say Welcome to 2026, know that we are more committed than ever to bringing you returns, impact, and pride.
The Real Heroes: Our Team
Now, to the people who actually make the magic happen.
You see the brand online, you see the beautiful designs, and you see the finished installations. But you don’t always see the late nights, the endless Zoom calls, and the grit.
We want to take a moment to shine the spotlight key persons on the squad that held it down in 2025.
Fortune (The Bridge): Sitting right in the hot seat between management and the rest of the team, Fortune has been the ultimate connector. From overseeing the CEO’s platforms to ensuring instructions don’t just “enter voicemail,” he keeps the ship steering straight.
Isaac (The Engine): If Smart City Mall Africa was a car, Isaac is the transmission. From managing the entire online mall (products, vendors, orders) to running our weekly meetings and designing UIs, he is the definition of “capacity.”
Keturah (The Voice): The brain behind the “Tech Queens” strategy and our digital presence. Keturah ensures our story is told loudly and clearly across all platforms. If you saw an ad that made you click, that was her magic.
Othniel (The Artist): Our graphics guru. He is the reason we look so good. Othniel takes our rough ideas and turns them into visual gold, ensuring our brand identity remains sharp, professional, and eye-catching.
Favour (The Director): In the age of content, Favour is king. He handles our video production, editing, and asset creation. He makes sure that every frame serves a purpose and tells a compelling story.
Femi (The Fixer): The man on the ground. Femi oversees installations and maintenance. He is the one ensuring that what we promise on paper actually works in your home or office.
Gbenga (The Scout): Don’t let the “Intern” title fool you. As our SIWES/IT star, Gbenga has been our ears on the ground. From driving physical ad campaigns to gathering live feedback on the streets of Lagos, he helps us optimize our designs for real people.
Chinazom (The Partner): A powerful ally in our corner. Chinazom has been instrumental in our marketing efforts, especially pushing the “Tech Queens” initiative and the Institute forward.
To the team: Thank you. You are the heartbeat of this company.
Let’s Build an Epic 2026
So, what is the plan?
The plan is to be better. To be faster. To be smarter.
We are entering this year with renewed energy, a cleaner supply chain, and a team that is ready to conquer. Whether you are a client waiting for a verified smart system, an investor waiting for a report, or a young girl waiting for our next tutorial—we are ready for you.
Welcome to 2026. Let’s build something legendary together.
See you at the top!
